Sara Sampieri is an expert in history, archaeology, and art. She has developed extensive knowledge of intercultural relations, especially between Europe and the Mediterranean region.
She is Ph.D. Fellow in Tourism at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain), and former Visiting Fellow at Oxford University (United Kingdom).
Her research explores the delicate balance between heritage conservation and tourism development for the promotion of a travel destination in a sustainable and yet profit generating manner.
